Hydrometer jars are made of borosilicate glass and feature a beaded rim with a circular base. They are all sized properly to eliminate surface tension effects that lead to inaccurate readings. Models 21050-1000-L have a graduation line at 1000 mL for precise filling and are used as a sedimentation cylinder.
