The PALL 66585 Metricel Black Membrane is designed for high-precision filtration and microbial analysis. These gamma-irradiated, black membranes have a pore size of 0.45 µm and a diameter of 47 mm. Each membrane is gridded to facilitate easier observation and counting of colonies, particularly beneficial for applications requiring contrast, such as in water testing or air monitoring. Sold in bulk with parchment separators, each package contains 200 membranes. The gamma irradiation ensures sterility, eliminating the need for autoclaving and enhancing the reliability and efficiency of laboratory processes.
